Exterior House Painting in Wenatchee, WA

Repainting the outside of a house in North Central Washington is as much about protection as it is about looks. Greenpoint Construction LLC preps, seals, and repaints siding, trim, soffits, doors, and garages so the finish holds up through valley summers and winters.

What an exterior repaint includes

Every exterior job starts with a walk of the house. We look at the siding material, the condition of the existing paint, sun exposure on each elevation, and any spots where water has been getting in. That walk is what tells us how much prep the house actually needs, and it is what our written estimate is based on.

From there the work usually runs in this order: wash the surfaces, scrape and sand failing paint, replace or caulk failed joints, spot prime bare wood and stains, mask windows, roofs, concrete, and plants, then spray and back-roll the body before cutting in trim and accents by hand.

Built for Wenatchee Valley weather

Homes here take strong afternoon sun, dry heat, wind off the river, and freeze-thaw cycles in winter. South and west walls fade and chalk years before the shaded sides do. We choose products rated for that exposure and put the coats on at the film thickness the manufacturer calls for, because a thin coat sprayed fast is the main reason a repaint fails early.

Timing matters too. We schedule exterior work when overnight temperatures stay above the product's minimum, and we stop early on days when the surface temperature is too high for the paint to level correctly.

Siding, trim, and detail work

We paint lap siding, T1-11, board and batten, hardboard, stucco, fascia, gutters, shutters, railings, front doors, and garage doors. Trim and body colors are cut cleanly, and door hardware is removed rather than taped around when it makes for a better line.

If we find soft trim, failed caulk, or damaged siding boards during prep, we tell you before we cover it up. Repairs are quoted separately so nothing shows up on the final bill as a surprise.

Clean sites and straight answers

Plants get covered, drop cloths go down on walkways, and masking comes off the same day it goes up when weather allows. At the end of each day the site is cleaned so you can use your driveway and doors.

You get a walkthrough at the end. Anything on the punch list gets handled before we call the job finished.

FAQ

Exterior Painting Questions

How long does exterior painting take on an average Wenatchee home?
Most single-story homes run three to five working days including prep and cure time. Two-story homes, heavy scraping, or repairs can push that to a week or more. We give you a schedule with the estimate.
What time of year can you paint outside in Wenatchee?
Roughly April through October, depending on the season. We watch overnight lows and surface temperature and only paint when conditions are inside the product's range.
Do you pressure wash before painting?
Yes. Washing is part of every exterior repaint. Paint will not bond to chalky, dusty, or mildewed siding, so the wash is not an add-on we skip.
Can you match my current color?
Usually. We can pull a sample chip from the house and have it scanned and matched, or help you pick something new with sample draw-downs on the actual wall.
Do you handle rotten trim or siding?
We do carpentry repairs on trim, fascia, and siding. We flag what we find during prep and quote the repair before painting over it.
